After all the hangovers were slept off and the tabs from the night before reviewed, it turns out we raised a good amount to adopt our two hippos in Zimbabwe, Dizzy and Kuchek, for another year!
We were also able to donate $130 to the Hippo Water Rollers project, which is an amazing organization that aids women and children in small villages, mostly in Africa, with the transport of water from the water source to their villages. This is done through providing them with "Hippo Water Rollers" that transport 24 gallons of water at once (equivalent to 200 pounds weight), much easier than transporting the water on one's head (forty-five pounds of weight).
